Support and Advocacy Services (SAS) rape crisis advocates assist in providing 24 hour hotline support for rape/sexual assault survivors as well as their friends and family by staffing the hotline during selected "shifts".
Advocates are available on an "on-call" basis to assist survivors of rape/sexual assault at area hospital emergency rooms.
Advocates may accompany and provide support for survivors throughout the court process. Advocates attend monthly ongoing training sessions with other volunteers to discuss cases and learn current information and skills.
